The tragic bus crash in Saskatchewan that took the lives of 15 of the Humboldt Broncos and injured 14 others immediately gripped the hearts of Canadians, as it did mine and all of us at Focus on the Family Canada. The news of the shocking accident spread quickly around the world, and the response of support was swift and a moving reminder that in moments of tragedy, our hearts unite. There is nothing more precious than life and nothing more heartbreaking than when it is lost so catastrophically.

Our church joined in prayer as we met for worship Sunday morning, and that unity of heart embodied the prayers of Canadians from homes, arenas and churches across the country. Our love goes out to our fellow Canadians in Humboldt and across the nation who have been impacted by this terrible accident. As our hearts unite, may they also be drawn to the source of our comfort, hope and peace – our Lord Jesus Christ.
