How a new believer found a new church family to build her relationship in Christ

With your support, those looking for a home and community can know they’re not alone

“I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness,” Shannon* explains. “Growing up in that environment, it has taken a long time to ‘fix’ my brain so I can accept the truths of the Gospel. Your work at Focus on the Family has made an enormous difference in my life and has been a tool in my salvation.”

Though she was raised a Jehovah’s Witness and was baptized as a member when she was young, Shannon walked away from that church as a young adult.

Now, years later, she came to us asking for help to find a new church home because she recently found salvation in Christ – praise be to God! She reached out to Focus on the Family Canada as a new believer, knowing we are a safe place to turn to, and the personalized help she received from our care team went beyond her expectations.

“THANK YOU so much for your thoughtfulness and personal help! I am forever grateful for the resources you provide at Focus. I listen to the podcasts daily and have downloaded a few of your books . . . The work you are doing is invaluable and has been so encouraging to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

With your help, new believers are able to get the help they need to root themselves in the Church and grow in their relationship with Christ.
