God is creator and master of time, as he is of the rest of his cosmos. He knows the end from the beginning and has ordained it. Every event in history, from the rise and fall of nations to the private moments in each life, all unfold according to his sovereign will. Yet he has arranged it so that humans make real decisions that shape our lives and the life of our world. Every story, famous or obscure, forms part of God's grand narrative of creation, fall, redemption and restoration.
