Welcome to The Thriving Family, a Focus on the Family Canada podcast.

Today’s special guest is Andrew Montgomery, who came to our Canadian office for a special visit from Focus on the Family’s U.S. headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. As director of organizational development and communications, Andrew creates opportunities for Focus on the Family staff to grow in their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the workplace, and oversees the ministry’s employee communications. He has been with the ministry since 2000. Prior to his current role, he served as the organization’s director of public relations.

Andrew earned an accreditation in public relations in 2018 and an accreditation in human resources in 2019. Earlier, he completed a master’s degree in business administration at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and received a bachelor of arts in history at Trinity Western University in British Columbia.

He enjoys running, reading good books and drinking good coffee, and he’s patiently waiting for the Vancouver Canucks to win the Stanley Cup. He and his wife, Rachel, have five children and live in Colorado Springs. Here’s a fun fact: Andrew grew up in Langley, BC, so our conversation ended up being a homecoming of sorts.
